Internship in Conservation Project
Internship in Conservation Project is a mandatory activity for doctoral students, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about conservation practices and environmental management outside of the academic environment. Doctoral students will use their academic knowledge to develop some technical product upon an institution's demand, in order to build or improve conservation and management actions.
The course has a workload of 90 hours, which can be condensed or distributed over one semester. The internship can be developed remotely or in person.
Examples of some products developed:
-
Educational booklets;
-
Organization of databases;
-
Guide of recommended tree species for restoration;
-
Elaboration of specific technical reports;
-
Taxonomic identification of species recorded by camera-trap.
